Caesars Sportsbook is making an even stronger push in the horse racing industry as it has expanded its reach to two new territories. By incorporating the New York Racing Association’s NYRA Bets platform, Caesars has launched its Caesars Racebook app in both Montana and Oregon.
Caesars Entertainment, Inc. also announced its partnership with the Arizona Diamondbacks. As of Tuesday, Caesars Sportsbook is now open to the public at Chase Field.
Caesars is Making Every Move Count in the Horse Racing Segment
Following the app’s debut in Ohio and Florida, the sportsbooks looked and turned its efforts to Indiana. As Caesars Sportsbook owns Harrah’s Hoosier Park and Horseshoe Indianapolis, this was a smart move for the company moving forward. Previously known as Indiana Grand, Horseshoe Indianapolis was rebranded as Horseshoe Indianapolis.
Expanding to Montana and Oregon was the company’s next focus as it marks the fourth and fifth state the Racebook has entered in a short period of time. By utilizing the NYRA Bets platform, bettors who use this platform can get involved in pari-mutuel wagering from more than 250 horse race tracks around the world.
In 2021 alone, pari-mutuel wagering noted a total handle of $12 billion. The app will have many features bettors will enjoy that include replays on races, insights on how to approach bets, and more valuable information.
Caesars also has one of the best loyalty programs for its consumers, as it offers users ways to accumulate points that could be used to earn exclusive experiences. Working with NYRA Bets, the goal is to expand its app to other jurisdictions.
According to Dan Shapiro, Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer of Caesars Digital, he stated;
“We look forward to welcoming new horse racing customers and existing fans onto the platform and to working with NYRA Bets to grow horse racing as we deploy Caesars Racebook with plans to launch in about 30 states across the country.”
Caesars Sportsbook is Now Available at Chase Field
Caesars Sportsbook will enter a similar partnership it has done with the New York Mets. At Chase Field, Caesars Sportsbook will have the largest retail sportsbook that will be over 22,000 square feet as it will be about 9,000 square feet larger than the Mets deal. The lounge will also be two stories tall.
The total capacity of the facility will be up to 425 people. It will have many features as it will contain nine betting windows and 13 self-service kiosks where bettors can place wagers.
In addition, the facility will have wall-to-wall flatscreen televisions, patio space, table and plush lounge-style seating, a private space that can be rented, and a full-service restaurant which is Guy Fieri’s DTPHX Kitchen + Bar.
This is a strategic move as Guy Fieri is a big draw with award-winning menu items available. Both parties will immensely benefit from this partnership.
Caesars Continues to Make Waves to Gain Back Some of the Market Share Lost
Caesars has focused on gaining some market share in the sports betting industry. The platform has done a solid job but needs to do more work to catch other platforms like FanDuel and DraftKings, who are clearly above in numerous markets across the country.
Caesars has also been in the horse racing space as it has influence in at least five states after adding Montana and Oregon to the mix. The company will certainly be able to gain a head start moving forward as it seeks to expand its market reach in other states.
