Week 13 of the NFL is filled with some terrific matchups, and there are also some important games for teams from the state of California. The Los Angeles Chargers take on the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday afternoon, and the Los Angeles Rams will be at home to host the Seattle Seahawks.nfl100

Before the season started, it looked as if there was a chance for the Super Bowl to feature both teams from LA. That is no longer going to be the case, but the Chargers still have a shot to get there.

The Rams are now left to play the role of spoiler as they try to stop the surprising Seattle Seahawks. Los Angeles has been killed with injuries this season, and it’s not going to be easy.

Herbert Hoping to Lead Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers are slim one-point underdogs on the road in Las Vegas on Sunday. It’s another week with a ton of players sitting out for the Chargers, but Justin Herbert will be on the field.

Herbert has thrown for over 3,000 yards this season, and he is facing a Raiders secondary that struggles. The Chargers are going to try and win this game by outscoring the Raiders.NFL Chargers

Las Vegas has been playing in a ton of close games of late, and they have been finding ways to win. The Raiders are scoring 24 points per game but are also allowing 25 points per game.

This game will be tight, but the Chargers should be able to find a way to pick up the win.

Rams Trying to Slow Seattle Down

The version of the Los Angeles Rams that will take the field on Sunday will look nothing like the team to start the season. Los Angeles is scoring just 16.2 points per game, and they just don’t have any healthy bodies left.

Seattle has been a huge surprise this season, and Geno Smith has been making huge plays in the passing game. The Seahawks have struggled to get stops of late, but that won’t be an issue when facing the depleted Rams.los angeles rams

The Rams come into this game as seven-point underdogs, and it’s hard to see them keeping this game within a touchdown.

A Look at the Standings

Now that we are in the month of December, the playoff races are really going to start heating up in each conference. The AFC West Division is not as competitive as expected, and the NFC West Division has been pretty bad up to this point.

The Chargers are staring up at the Kansas City Chiefs, who are leading the AFC with a record of 9-2 on the season. Los Angeles is sitting in second place, but they have some work to do if they want to reach the playoffs.

The NFC West Division was supposed to be one of the best in football, but that just hasn’t been the case. San Francisco is leading that division, and the Rams sit in last place at 3-8.
