The push to the NFL Playoffs is heating up, especially for teams located in the state of California. The Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Rams, and San Francisco 49ers all have a chance, but it’s going to take a great finish to the year.
The Rams are almost a lock to make the playoffs at the sportsbook as those odds are set at -1450, while a bet on Los Angeles to miss out is offered at +870. The Chargers and the 49ers have more work to do if they want to reach the postseason, and the odds reflect that.
Los Angeles has odds set at =260 to reach the playoffs, while the San Francisco 49ers are being offered at +100. These betting odds are going to be changing after every single game that each team plays.
The Super Bowl this year will be held at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, which would give each team from California a “home field” advantage if they made it.
NFC West Race is Tight
There is not much separation at the top of the NFC West Division standings, and the San Francisco 49ers are still on the hunt as well. The Arizona Cardinals lead the way with a 9-2 record, while the Rams (7-3) and 49ers (5-5) are trying to keep the pressure on.
The Arizona Cardinals are the massive betting favorites at -440 to win the NFC West, while the Rams now have odds set at +340. This isn’t the only way to get into the playoffs, though, and that is why the Rams and 49ers still have a legitimate chance.
Odds to Win Super Bowl
If you look at the current odds to win the Super Bowl, you are going to find that oddsmakers are predicting a rematch of last year’s title game. These odds have changed several times throughout the year, but it is the Buccaneers and Chiefs now back on top.
Tampa Bay has odds set at +550 to win the Super Bowl, which would be their second straight title. Kansas City is next on the list at +700 as they look to get some revenge.
Out of the teams in California, the Los Angeles Rams are at +900, which is fifth place on the list.
Herbert, Stafford in MVP Race
If the Chargers and Rams are going to go as deep as they had hoped, then it is going to take some special play from each team’s quarterbacks. Justin Herbert is having another big year for the Chargers, and Matthew Stafford has played well in his first season in LA.
Stafford has MVP odds set at +900 at this time, while Herbert is right behind him at +1000. At this point, it would be a surprise to see either player win the MVP Award, but a lot can happen over the last few weeks.
Tom Brady of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is the current betting favorite to win the MVP at +270.
