The start of the 2021 NFL season is only a few weeks away, and teams will start to open up Training Camp soon. There is plenty of optimism surrounding the three teams from California, but the future betting odds are a bit mixed.
In the NFC, both the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers should be in the playoff race. The Los Angeles Chargers still have some work to do in the AFC, but this could be a much improved season.
The San Francisco 49ers are +1300 to win the Super Bowl this year, and the Los Angeles Rams are +1400. The Chargers are way down on the list at +3100, but that’s actually not bad odds for a team needing to turn things around.
Winning the conference is always the first step for each team in reaching the Super Bowl, and it could be a realistic goal for the Rams and 49ers. San Francisco is +470 to win the NFC, and the Rams are currently listed at +700.
The Chargers are massive underdogs to win the AFC title, and winning the AFC West will be hard enough.
NFC West is Loaded
The NFC West Division is set to be one of the best in football this season, and the 49ers and Rams are set to battle for the title. Winning the NFC West won’t be easy, but it’s hard to imagine one of these teams not winning it.
The 49ers are +185 to win the NFC West, while the Rams are right behind them at +195. Both teams have had plenty of recent success, and they should be loaded in 2021.
The Seattle Seahawks are +270 to win the NFC West, and the Arizona Cardinals are +600. Both of these teams could make a run at the title as well.
Can Chargers Make Playoffs?
The Kansas City Chiefs are massive betting favorites to win the AFC South, and it would be a massive upset to see them now win the division. Kansas City is -280 to win the AFC West, but the Chargers are actually the next team on the list.
Los Angeles is +500 to win the division, and the Denver Broncos are +600. The Chargers could still get into the playoffs with a Wild Card berth, and that might be their top option.
Bucs-Chiefs Rematch?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers stunned the Kansas City Chiefs to win the Super Bowl in February, and it appears that a rematch could be coming. These are the two betting favorites to win the Super Bowl, but there could be some competition.
Kansas City is currently at +500 to win the Super Bowl, and Tampa Bay is right behind them at +650. Both teams are still loaded with talent and are the clear favorites to win their respective conference.
The Buffalo Bills are next on the list at +1200 to win the Super Bowl, followed by the 49ers and Rams.
